Replacing flywheel...book says line up timing mark...has two timing marks...one is 1,4 and the other is 2,3...can"t find which one to use in my book...anyone one out there have an answer???

I not sure what stage your repair work is at, but I would suggest rotating your engine till you have numbers 1 and 4 on top dead center as the firing order for that engine is 1234 and place the flywheel on the 1-4 mark. I have not, as I recall came a crossed those marks as you have described. With the firing order being 1234 you should be right if the other gearing of the timing are in there correct order.

I have found in the past where others (as well as myself) have placed there own punch marks on the flywheel for there reference when reinstalling it, not a bad ideal before removing it.

would guess 1,4 is top dead center on #1 & #4 cylinder.
