Sorry it took me so long to post this. This is a picture of the GM Alternator bracket I made to replace the generator on my 1968 Case 450 Crawler.

This is my first attempt at posting a picture to this forum so if it does not work, please bear with me.

Regards,
John

i have trouble posting picture to.i took off gen and bracket.its a cast one thet goes over an alum pump.made mine 3"x5" x 1/4"
lined up alt and had to keep a low profile so intake wouldnt nbe in the way.got an old bracket off of a gen and sawed the ears off just enough so that the alt would swivel.got a peice of all tread and 2" worth of washers for spacers.lined up on bracket and tig welded it so weld was not high.top bracket only needed 2 3/8" washers for a spacer.worked good but front over hung so i looked and there is a 3/8" bolt underneath it so i got a 1"x6" long strap, drilled a 3/8" hole in it put in vise and heated it cherry red.with an adjustable i twisted the bracket so it would be parallel with the 3x5.comes even with the front.cut off excess and tig welded it in place.does the job.was going to put new fan belt on now thats a job.

You're right about the new belt! No way to change it without removing the hyd. pump. I stayed with the old one for now. It's still in reasonable shape.
