Could someone with a JD 310 (straight 310 no letter)TLB measure the hydraulic oil dipstick for me? Mine was broken off at one time and parts of it welded to a piece of allthread, I don't trust it. I don't know how they got the pieces out of the transmission but there don't seem to be any in there. I need the distance of the high and low marks to the top of the filler tube. Thanks.

Hi John,The part # for a plain 310 is AT19830 John deere lists it for $45.90 they also say the length is 3.9" but they don't show the full mark on that model .I thought I might be able to help more as I have a A and B model but they are longer.Hope this helps a little regardless,Rick

Forty-Six Bucks for a dipstick??? No wonder the guy welded the old one back together... Sounds like John Deere is getting a little greedy - Don't forget there's gonna be tax and shipping on it, too. srs/mn

Noted, maybe a bit greedy of Deere. It is an industrial quality dip stick though (at least the top part that didn't break). But the fact that any 1970 part can be UPS on my porch by Tuesday says a lot about Deere. I'm not buying this part but I've never been disappointed when I really did need a part.
