I hadn"t checked the ACMOC BB for a while and so discovered that there appears to have been a schism in the cat community. I"m curious what happened? Personally I"m a pluralist when it comes to equipment so I don"t have a side in this. Objectively I like the format of the new ACMOC BB better that the ACME(sp?) board.

The great "yellow" divide, well, here's where some people are, ACMOC's new official site link posted below.

Don't forget the "other site" which is where you'll find everyone else, I can't post 2 active links under one post, so just copy/paste this on your browser:

The just of what I got was the old ACMOC server was in a building somewhere. The guy left town and locked it up so S40 couldn't get to it. It finally stopped running when the power was turned off I suspect. Don't know who is running the new one but it does work good. The old one was throwing a track every week or so.

Thanks for the update. I did sense that the knowledge base has been split up by this. Hopefully people will cool down a little and regroup. It alway seemed to me that some of the Cat guys were less tolerant or prone to hard feelings. Just ask a question about something other than Cat and some want to burn you at the stake! Life is too short.

I never noticed that but then I didn't read a lot of the posts either. Just ones I knew somthing to help with. This thing wasn't about hard feelings just hard times and the server going down. It was over at IB dozing where most gathered to talk about getting it going again. I think everyone will be back once they figure out how to get useing it.

I've read the old ACMOC board for over a year, and although not a member have received prompt, courteous, and informative answers to the several non-Cat questions I have asked.
Good luck with the "new" board.
