Can anyone tell me how to check/fill the rear end fluid in 72 model JD 350B? There is a dipstick on the floor board just to the left of the brake pedal....does the fluid in the area also go to the rear end? If so then can you check both levels from this one dipstick? Also does it take straight 90W?
Thanks!

The dipstick you refer to is for the reverser only. To check the transmission and rear end there is a dipstick at the rear of the left foot rest directly below edge of seat. Use only a good grade of trans/hyd fluid.

The trans and rea end are the hydraulic reservoir for the reverser/transmission. and yes that is your dipstick for both. Use Tractor/transmission hydraulic oil. Regular hydraulic oil will foam and cause wear to parts of the reverser.
