I am thinking about getting a 4 in 1 bucket for my skid steer. It looks like it would be a great addition. You cna use it as a bulldozer blade to do light dirt moving and the clam would be great for picking up rocks an trash without chasing them all over the place. What does everyone else think.

Davis,

You are correct, get a good one.

jhill, I use my 4 in 1 all the time and for my use it was well worth the money. I have a tooth bar and also a cutting edge. Takes about 10 minutes to switch. I find that my best grading and finish clean up work is done with the bucket closed and with the tooth bar on. Although it leaves faint tooth marks in the dirt, I'm able to attain a flatter & smoother surface this way. I'm sure some find grading with the bucket open is better, but it's not my choice.

You can pick up things and even learn to pick up the remaining of a gravel or dirt pile, etc.. Good luck

I have one it is very handy you can pick up logs to move also I can fill a tri axle truck full by opening the bucket and have it fall out the bottom it will fill truck up where I can not by dumping reg. also if open you can flip and pack the truck you will have the whole with to grab with not like some grapples you have to line up with the grapple hooks

Brush forks with a grapple works better for stumps and rocks, nobody around here uses a 4 in 1 around here

Been tempted to get a 4 in 1 myself... Several have told me that the cheaper ones are easy to warp in a diagonal way, so one side closes & the other leaves a gap. One would be handy, I hate chasing stumps & rocks all over the pasture. A cheaper way out is to add a grapple to your present bucket.

I have just bought a IHC Drott skidsteer Z100 with log forks and a 4n1 for my firewood business and yes it is just great for picking up short logs and picking up rings to load straight onto my truck also great for loading split wood and keeping the work site tidy,I also have a lge 4n1 bucket off a jcb backhoe digger that I will adapt to my IHC hough 30 loader as it will give my business so many more work options and opportunities, for me the 4n1 rocks ,cheers
