I have an Case 580B BH - Loader W/shuttle shift. It has been sitting idle for about a year because it would not move in any direction .I had changed the converter filter and oil but no luck in movement many months ago.The transmission gauge is in and was, in the Green. The tractor had had faultering power in both directions for quite a while before I parked it.Three days ago I decided to take it to my shop and investigate the problem.Big suprise, when I started it and put it in low fwd.,it drove right off with good power.Reverse was a different story. No movement period. After a long warm up I was able get a sluggish reverse operation.I had previously believed that there was a problem in the converter.Since I am not familiar with the inner working and construction of this gear box ,I now think that there must be slippage in the clutch packs even though I am not sure how the shuttle is constructed.Originally I had a complete dealers shop manual and a parts book as well. Both have been loaned out but never returned. Can anyone start me off in the right direction to solve my problem.

I"ve seen many discussions about Case-O-Matic on the Case tractor forum. Try the archives and also post your Case-O-Matic problem on the Case tractor forum. Hope that helps, Dennis..... .
