I'm looking at purchasing a M crawler. The engine is stuck. The most obvious repair is replacing the manifold. If there are other tractors with this engine it will help broaden the search.

Stuckrusty, If you don't find a manifold , there is a good possibility i can repair that one . Send me a picture of yours showing the damage . Below is a link to a web site sowing some repairs, follow the link in the site to a sequence of repair steps.

I just bought an M crawler (orchard). Needs a water pump but runs well. I heard the water pump from a U works, maybe other parts transfer?
However a U is equally as rare.

To my knowledge The Model M engine is only used in your tractor. You would be better off fixing the one you have. If the pistons are stuck I would take the engine apart and clean the bore. Stan
