Visited the Boron, CA museum last week. Saw a small Cletrac with what looked like a model A Ford engine, clutch and stick shift transmission. Steering wheel straight up/down, big steel seat, narrow tracks. Think it may have been used in borax mining. Would have been a killer to drive, I think!

I have a similar Cletrac that has been retrofitted with a WWII Jeep motor. I don't know what the original was. I wish I had time to restore it! Anyone have any idea what something like that's worth?

That must have been a common conversion as a friend of mine has one as well with the model A engine. His steering has the T bar type with upright handles.

I had a little OC3 with a 76 Mustang engine. It was the fastest crawler in the East. It had both blade and loader. Unfortunately, they're so light, it couldn't do to much in my hardpan clay. I sold it 7 or 8 yrs ago for $1400. It's still going good and the guy that bought it skids firewood with it and light work around his place. I had already bought a 1944 AG6 that was almost like new. It never had a blade, so was used only for spreading manure in the spring and getting tractors unstuck. About 1950 they robbed the governor for another machine and it sat in a shed until I bought it. I put a blade on it, did my work and sold it about 3 yrs ago to buy a backhoe. Smiley
