I put a message on this board last week about my HD 6 overheating. Got a good reply about checking the usual (thermostat, water pump etc). When I took the hood off to start the search process I decided to flush the radiator first. I had the engine running with fresh water running into the radiator when I noticed that I had a fuel leak on a flexible fuel line. I would call it a fairly severe leak with fuel spraying in about three directions. Sorry to be so long getting to the point, but could an engine, starved of fuel, cause the engine to overheat. I decided it was more important to fix the bad fuel line first before getting into the other stuff.

Lean fuel mixture will cause higher temps in the cylinders. That could be your problem. But all the other areas should be checked while your at it. It never hurts to clean and fill rad, check belts and thermostat.

if youre fan blows forward pull it to the shop and take the airhose to it it will help break up the leaves and stuff and blow them out you can use water or a pressure washer but you got to get it good or when it drys out it will be twice as hard to get out i figured it out after about ten tries good luck
