I'll agree with Nat the 555's was a strong hoe but I've saw alot of them with patches on the backhoe boom as well as loader boom because they were too strong.

I have a 555B. I think you will find that pound for pound it will out dig anything made in the same time period. The HP isn't up to todays standards, but will still dig with anything. the loader is very stout and with the linkage setup it keeps the bucket level, whereas the modern TLB have electric valves to mantain a level bucket. They are a little short on power for loading fast but not a big problem. HTH, later, Nat
