Hi,

Could anyone tell me if the clutch throwout bearing for a TD 340 is wet or dry? Also, where can I get one?

thanks.

My T-340 throwout bearing is dry, I assume it is the same for the TD version.

Thanks. Something gave loose in my machine. The clutch petal goes almost all the way to the floor, with virtually no resistance, and the clutch does not disengage.

It was making a "whining" noise whenever the petal was pushed down, like a bearing getting ready to let loose.

Now I've got to take the motor out to get to the darn thing!

FYI - I changed engines a year ago in my T340. Here's a tip, there are 4 bolts going from the engine into the flywheel/clutch case. AND !!! 2 bolts going from the flywheel/clutch case into the rear of the engine. The 2 are hidden under the fuel tank, and are nearly impossible to see. You need to take the dash apart, remove the fuel tank to get at them. Took me weeks to figure that out. Good luck,
Ray

Ray,

thanks so much. I would have beaten my head against the machine trying to figure that one out!

How long did it take to get that thing apart? It doesn't sound like that difficult of a job...
