T6 track pads cut snow holes or not?

Hello; Well, we have lots of the white stuff up in northern Mn. So much, I am using my T6 to make roads to, and in the woods, so I can fill the boiler. The snow is like "sugar" and packs in the rear spocket and track. And it really gets tight. If I cut holes in the pads, anyone know if this will be worse in the dirt, or wear the track out faster? Thanks BobMn
