Aquired an AC HD 7G Trac Loader, 4 cyl. Budda Engine. Looking for information locating numbers on machine to id year, etc. as Serial number information plate is missing for the dash area. Also location of possible Serial numbers on engine. Would be interested in purchasing manuals.

I've only seen the HD7 series crawlers made 1940-1950 and they all had Detroit Diesels in them. HD7Gs were made 1961-1965, and as I understand it, use the same Buda 344 c.i. engine as my HD6. You might be able to date the engine by taking the numbers off of it and calling the guys at the Buda Engine Company. They seem to know quite a bit. Their website is: Link

"Thanks," for the info. jdemaris. I did find some cast numbers under the grease and grim, on the left engine bell houseing. 434996 possible next number a 9 then below 6 11 62, with the word ISSUE under the 62. Will take your advise and contact Budda Engine Co.
