Found one of these for sale near me, looking for something to use on the farm to clear land with. Does anybody know the weight, engine size,etc or can point me in the right direction to find such info? Also, what do I need to look for when looking at this machine? The price is $8900, too high or too low?

Value depends on condition and series. $8900 seems kind of steep to me. Around here they only bring around $6500-$7500 max. Thats in very good condition with fresh paint and ready to go to work. Weight is around 12.5-13 ton. Engine is probably a DT361. This all depends on series and serial # though. As far as what to look for..... just make sure it drives in all ranges and put a load on each to be sure trans. is good. Digging into a bank is a good way to check it out. Tracks should not stop moving while under load. Be sure it steers good. The levers should pull quite easily and the tractor should come around rather quickly. They were kind of snappy on the steering and it takes a while to get used to it. Look for leaks around the final drives, this is an indication of bad bearings. The rest is pretty much routine.
