Someone here mentioned they needed one. There is one on Ebay right now- look under Case 450 to find it.

That was me. It was listed earlier but did not get any bids. Its relisted now for $150 last time I looked. There are 2 problems. First, its for a Case 450B or 450C and I've got an old 450 (no suffix) so I'm not sure it will fit. Secondly, its way over on the West coast and I'm in NC. At 1500 lbs its gonna cost an arm and a leg to ship it. I'm curious how much the shipping would be though...

Thanks for posting!

john ill run in to one.when the snow melts i got a couple to look at.also looking to buy a parts machine,i wont need a counterweight on that one.if that one was close that would not be a big deal to mount.worst case make shelf brackets off the back and slide it in.dont need one from a case you know.rebuilding my loader bucket.now thats a challange.have to rebuid bottom.fun fun fun.

I'm lucky in that my loader bucket is ugly but does not have any holes. I've got to weld a loop or a hook on it sometime to make pulling a chain easier.

Judging from the paint, my machine had something mounted on the back at one time. Might have been a counter weight or a ripper. I'm guessing ripper since there is a large hydraulic hose running back there that does nothing now.

The counterweight would be nice but it's not essential. Its one of those things that I'd like to have but like most older machines there are more pressing matters at hand. At the moment I've got to take off the head and oil pan and rebuild the 188 diesel. It started putting out a LOT of blowby all of a sudden. Time to rebuild it before #3 throws a rod eh?

Always good to hear from you. Good luck with your bucket.

if you had a ripper you would have a 3rd valve.if you have a hose that quick couples in and out it was a backhoe.have to rebuild bottom of bucket, put new edge on lots of heating and banging on backside but ill get it back to specs.
