I bought a T-340 crawler a couple weeks ago and have the operators and service manuels BUT in both books it talks about a trammision and hydralic filter but it does not show (if it is a changable filter)where it is located or the number of the filter like it does every thing else could it be possible it is just a screen filter inside I sure could use a response on this if anybody has any idea, even called International dealer and they couldn't tell me

The filter number is WIX 51139 or NAPA 1139. That gives you the two cartridges and the two gaskets, one for inside the screen and one for the cover.

It"s on the lower right side under the brake pedal behind a plate that is held on by a dozen or so small machine bolts. It"s opposite the hydraulic pump on the left side, and it serves to filter the input to the pump. When you take off the plate, youll see a screen device; the two small filter cartridges are inside. Easily available from NAPA etc and come with the gaskets.

T-340's went out of style back in the 60's. Your dealer probably wasn't even a gleam in his Dads eye then.
