Does anyone know of a good place to purchase a seat and the arm rest for a JD 450B?

Try Paint Valley Equipment in Millersburg , Ohio . I bought seats for a 450-C cheap. If memory serves correctly about $ 100.00. They also have replacement engine frame rails for about $ 500.00 cheaper than Deere. Fabricated track adjusters for a fraction of OEM. call information for number , I don't have it on me right at this time..

Jeff,
If you're not worried about the non-originality, and you don't mind a little fabrication, you could use a seat from a van. I have one on my HD3 Allis Chalmers (a high-back Flexsteel, nonetheless), and it sure beats the heck out of the factory job. It gets a lot of comments, but I don't listen to them, I just operate in comfort. Just a thought, have a good day.

We are an A&I dealer and have the seats, backrests and arm rests available. We also have another supplier. Visit our website for more information. www.pdmechanical.com

Bought the arm and back rests from JD. Can't remember how much, but I don't think it was outragous. JD did want a bunch for the seat, so I used the old wooden bottom as a pattern and made a new one from 1/2" pressure treated plywood (the green stuff) and had a local uholstery guy make a new one with new padding and vinyl cover...looks great.

Find a online supplier for the A & I, I think they will have the seats. Look up Link I bought some from John Deere. Pretty pricey I thought. Total from A & I $202.86 gets you a back rest, seat cushion and two arm rests. The original one had coil springs in it that should have made them higher. The one I bought was just a chunk of foam with vinyl cover and plywood back.

Hi Jeff, there are usually a few on ebay.Or you can do like I did and have yours recovered by a local shop.I had to make new backing plates for mine, just get all the mounting hole measurements right.Mine turned out really nice and it saved me a bundle,it cost $50 to have covered with the good exterior grade vinyl and the good foam and maybe another $20 for my metal and screws.
