JD 450 Hydraulic leak

On the main hydraulic arm I have a steady drip not on the ram shaft but on the outside collar. This collar was loose and when I tightened it up with a spanner wrench it still leaks.

I bought a new o-ring and a flat o-ring to install from the JD dealer. The parts book shows a snap ring also. I understand that I need to drop the ram on the main arm and install these parts.
My question is do I need any other parts since I will be 100 miles from the nearest parts dealer?
It looks like a fairly simple job, but that is what is worrying me.

Phil

...hopefully its just the oring that is bad and not the barrel itself...if it is too rusted in there the oring may not cure the leak. What you have to do is remove the spanner nut. Then drive the rod guide in an inch or so. Look in the barrel and you will see the snap ring. Remove it and then pull the rod back out to remove the rod guide and piston assembly.Sometimes some coaxing with a hammer is in order. The barrel will be full of oil so be prepared. You may need a complete packing kit if the seals are damaged when removing. Check in the barrel where that oring seats for corrosion. When reassembling remember that the oring is installed towards the oil side with the back-up ring behind it.
