Need pins and bushings for my backhoe. Don't really want to go to the dealer. Can anyone suggest somewhere else?

Thanks,
Tom

I appreciate your wanting to save $ by avoiding the dealers markup price on Pins and Bushings. The problem with buying P&B's is that they weigh a shitload, and depending on where you are and the freight costs (usually several hundred $'s) the cost savings could be eaten up by freight costs.

You might want to see if you can get by with a turn job first. However, I have to ask, who will put the P&B's in for you? Someone other than the dealer? If so it is almost always necessary to put on new sprockets as well, or your old sprockets will eat up your new P&B's in no time at all. So add new sprockets to your freight costs. (also heavier than $hit)

Have you checked out buying used or rebuilt chains? Which also begs the question of what shape are your rails, idlers, and rollers in? Might you be better off with rebuilding your bottom rather than putting in new P&B's?

If Wisconsin isn't more than a couple of states away from you, try M&R Track Service at 920-336-3036 and ask for Virgil. Good luck!

Unless I'm missing something here, I don't think you'll find tracks on a 580E backhoe.
