As a new owner to the JD 350C, it seems I am always finding something else about it that can not be identified in the manuals. Recently I discovered a lever aproximately 7" long located on the right side, front enging just below the oil filler tube. It looks like it has a rod and spring that runs to the ballancer on the front of the engine. Any body know what this is for. Sorry for sounding so stupid but the manual does not show anything like this. Thanks in advance

It was a hydraulic pump disconnect for cold weather starting and also enabled changing of the fan belt without taking the pump off. It was used in 1010s and early 350s.

JD is correct as usual. my 350 (1969) has it. Rarely used & has tendency to rust up. You should lubricate it good & use it once in a while to keep it operable. Your machine may not be a "C" model if you are going by the decal. People can slap any kind of decal on it to make it sell better at auction. Better run the serial number with your JD dealer to check.

I agree, you run into som uncrouplus people sometime. JDemaris set me straight on the modle. It has oil clutches and the reverser is on left side next to the driver. The engine seems to be from an early model. It also has the two fuel filters that I guess were not on the C model.

Recently punctured a lower radiator hose. Can't seem to be able to find one in any of the parts stores around here. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Additionally, I wanted to thank everyone for thier assistance. This site has helped me alot and to JDemaris, "Your replys have been invaluable". Thank you
