Has anyone else had problems with the torque converter overheating on an 1150B Case bulldozer?A friend of mine has one that gets hot real quick if pushing dirt or stumping. The trans and the rest of the dozer works great but it gets hot too quick. He even added a cooler in front of the radiator and it didnt help much.Anyone ever had this problem and fixed it?
Thanks in advance,Shaun

Don't know if the 1150B is like my 850D but if it is there is a thermostat in the bypass circuit for the transmission oil cooler.I replaced mine and the problem went away.

One simple thing to look for is to make sure there is good air flow all the way through the radiator(s). Check them and ensure they're are not clogged with grease, dirt, leaves etc and you can really feel the air flowing through them. If it's clogged, use engine degreaser and a pressure washer to blow it out. Otherwise hector is right, the converter oil pump might be the problem.

Good luck
