Fellas, Iv"e got the fluid drained out of the resivour ( in the down leg support) and wanted to know if that filter is made to be cleaned or should I look for anew one? It is intact other than being filthy. Looks to be made of spun glass? Im trying to get as much of the system cleaned out as possible. The oil looks like "chicken gravy" and that dont cut the muster...Any ideas to get the old oil out would be appreceated.

I had a similar issue with my 3400. I drained what fluid I could and blew out the filter from the inner side out. I reinstalled the filter, serviced the oil and used the loader and hoe for a short while then I finally drained the fluid again, installed a new filter and reserviced the fluid.
That spun filter probably would have been fine but I was having problems with the hydraulic fluid heating up and wanted to address the easy stuff first.
