Bought a 54c100 backhoe in pieces, intending to put it on my 9n. Now I feel that this will tie up my tractor too much, with the mounting rails and all, it would be a permanent mount. My question is, can I mount this hoe on my IH 504 utility as a 3point? would it stick out too far in back? Please give me some advice and direction Thanks.

Hi Johann, A 54C weighs about a ton, I wouldn't put it on anything less then a catagory 2, and then I'd worry. Really designed as a dedicated machine, and then they would still tear a tractor apart. A lot of rugged iron there to deal with fabricating a three point hitch. How about just getting another tractor for it? What state are you in?
