Two questions; 1. Sediment bowl is filling up with rust very quickly, stops engine. Any solutions? 2. I've extended the travel on the cluth to the max, throw out bearing or something else?

Your clutch sounds like it's wore out. It's not hard to get to. Drop the drive shaft and take the square plate off and you can see it pretty good. You could also remove the flywheel cover on the bottom of the bell housing and with a flashlight see what you can see.

Robert,

I have used a gas tank "sealer" in the past to keep rust from flaking off and clogging the fuel system. This sealer is also commonly used to seal pinhole leaks in gas tanks.

Most motorcycle shops will carry the stuff. I used a brand called "Kreem". It was a 3 part system where the first part cleaned the tank, the second part "etched" it and the third part seals it.

Best of luck,
John

Machines that sit for along time(years)with no fuel in the tank develope scale rust that can be hard to remove.....if you don't have the time to remove the tank and swirl wash out the scale...than carefully snake out the fuel outlet port with fish wire and intall a messwire screen either from the inside of the tank or by placing it up the outlet tube. You could also remove the sediment bowl assembly and screw in a 1/4" nipple and run a conventional clear plastic auto motive fuel filter before a shut off valve, will allow you to run longer between stall outs and you will eventually stop having the problem once all the scale works it's way out. Have a great day...RustyAllis

Question #1. I've had good luck putting an extension into the inlet on the sediment bowl. I use fine mesh brass screen and roll it into a tube about 2 inches long and insert into the end of the inlet. Screens out the rust before it can get into the sediment bowl. Good luck.
