Just bought a HD5 loader. The right track will only drive part of the time. When you use that clutch to turn it is hard to make it drive again. Just have to keep trying to get it to ingage again.
I have the fuel tank off, right battery box and brake cover off. If I unbolt the hubs on each side of brake drum will clutch and brake come out the top?
Thanks for any help.

Hey Red, yup, the clutch assembly will come out the top. Use the brake bands to lift it out with. There are two brake band pins that connect the assembly to the engagement units in the housing. They can be withdrawn through the side of the steering clutch housing by inserting some seven or eight inch, 1/4 capscrews through the holes in the housing side above the tracks, then screwing those capscrews into the pins and then withdrawing them. Also, make sure and notice that the capscrews you remove from the steering clutch hubs are of different lengths...don't interchange them and make sure the proper lengths go back into the right holes. good luck.
