Hi, well it appears the one clutch is shot on the t 340. is this a job a couple guys with average mech. skills can do, is it a difficult job and are special tools needed? what would it cost to have a shop do it and how long would it take them? is it worth putting the $ in or would he be better off selling it as is and getting something different.( like a porsche) thanks for the help it's appreciated Clyde

Clutches are relatively easy. Pull steering levers back and hold, remove the large rear differential cover, and the bands will be accessible. If it is the steering brakes, that will require splitting the track and removing the final drive housing. The brake pads are inexpensive, I think they are the same brakes used in the popular Farmall M and others. The best thing to do is obtain an owners manual for all adjustments. If you decide to keep it, get a parts manual, it is a great help when you take it apart and find what should be there versus what is there from a previous repair. Voice of experience. Post again will your progress or problems.
