My J.D.350-c leaks about 1Qt./Hr.at the left rear axle. Recently,I heard a noise mostly when backing up. (rarely when going forward) I know the oil leak needs attention. May the noise be a bearing turning inside or what else might the noise be comming from? I have only owned the machine about 5 months, so little history is known. When the track is taken apart, can the drive sprocket be unbolted and removed or does it require special tools, maybe a press? Thanks in advance for any help.

I think you need to give it some attention ASAP. If your hearing noises from the final then you probably have a bad brg. somewhere. If not taken care of imediately you will do more damage. It doesn't take long to wipe out a pinion or bull gear. The sprocket can be unbolted and removed once the track is split. If you have any other questions feel free to email me directly. And be sure to visit our website, we have many replacement parts available too.
