Your subject bar says komatsu D3. Do you mean D31? Cat's D3, Dresser's TD8, the JD 450 and a Komatsu D31 are all in about the same class, size wise. If I lived in your county I think I'd contact the commissioners to ask why the county doesn't at least give the appearance of buying a US-made machine. (yes, yes, yes, I know all about American machines being made overseas. at least maybe the profits roll into our economy)

Yeah not sure what the deal is with the foreign dozer for county work. Atleast I think it was a county dozer, had the stickers on it and was near a few road construction signs. Is the 450 really the size of the D31, it didnt look that big driving by, but once I stopped to look at it more closely I was surprised on its size, My neighbor has a 350 track loader and it doesnt seem a whole lot bigger then my bosses 420 crawler loader I'm borrowing so I didnt think the 450 would be a whole lot bigger then the 350 It must have been a D31, probably missing a '1'. Thanks for the help!
