Is this a common problem? Is my head gone bad? Any suggestions?

Does this engine have an oil cooler mounted just under the oil filter?? You can tell if there are 2 hoses that go from the water pump to the oil cooler. Maybe the oil cooleris leaking into the coolant thru a crack internally..Seldom will you see a liner leak cause oil to go into a radiator..HLR oil is in a seperate " radiator " up front . There's no way for trans oil to get into radiator..

I don't remember exactly, what exactly the 450B has for HL-R cooling and engine oil cooling. But, take a look and make sure #1 the hydraulic HL-R transmission (assuming you've got one) does't run oil through the radiator for cooling, and #2 check under the engine oil filter and make sure there isn't a coolant hose hookup there for oil cooling. If it is a head gasket, it's an easy job to change.
