T6 crawler

Bought a T6 gas crawler with Bucrys Erie 6 way blade last fall and just got it home a couple weeks ago. Guy said he had it running but I've been unable to get it started. It has fire and I put new brushes in the starter to help it turn over faster, which still isn't very fast. A few times it did pop and start to smoke out of the exhaust. Once I get it running I'll have to look into the clutches. I think they are all stuck. With the tranny in gear the starter will move the crawler no matter what I do with the hand clutch. Even with both steering clutches held back it'll still move with the starter when in gear. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

have you checked the plug wires on the mag, some times they get mixed up in the order, because the diesel engine with mag fires in a different order. also a couple guys on redpower BB have fixed there siezed clutches too. head over there and i'll post pages for the servce manaul to help you. can't post pictures here very well.

Thanks for the link to redpower. I've found some useful info there like soaking the clutches in brake cleaner. I got the main clutch freed up now. I also got the crawler running. The spark plug wires were off by 180deg. I still have one plug that's missing but It's either in the plug or wire. Other than that the engine runs pretty good. Has 40psi of oil pressure, doesn't smoke or knock. All the tranny gears work. The hand clutch is working however if the tranny is left in neutral for any amount of time it'll grind a bit when shifting into gear. If I shift quickly from one gear to another it doesn't grind. The right steering clutch and brake work great. Can lock up the right side and spin around nicely. The left side doesn't work at all. The foot brake works but the clutch won't release. I noticed the lever on top of the rear end covers moves backwards some when the lever is pull back to release it instead of just rotating. the other side is alot tighter.
