looked at a hd7 today.
needs front idler wheel assy. left track side.
also a starter, and inspection plates for the 3-71 engine

the machine has a 3-71 Detroit, aftermarket front blade, front hyd pump. ROPS as well
don't know the year.
looks good.

where can I find these parts???how much would they run???

the machine has large out riggers that hold the blade on out side of tracks. above the tracks there are great big arms that have some very large springs that attach to the blade assy.
what is this type of blade called?????

I was told the blade was an aftermarket one.
It was an old farm tractor.
left track is off of machine.
Iam thinking of buying it.
Is it 50' vintage?????
thanks

HD7s were made 1940-1950. I think all the blades were aftermarket. Some were from Garwood. There are lots of parts machines - at least in my area of New York. I had a chance to buy two HD7s a few months ago - one ran, one was set-up - none useable without a lot of work. The guy wanted $2500 for the pair, but I didn't take him up on it. I heard later he sold them for scrap.
