Hi all,I know this might not be the right place for this but was wondering if anybody has had any dealings with a 3 speed Funk tranny? It has the hydraulic reverser and is a 3 speed with torque converter.Second gear is not working in forward or reverse. When you shift to 2nd you can kind of feel it a little bit,1st and 3rd work fine forward and backward. It is supposed to have spools that make it change gears and have clutch packs.I was wondering if it could just be a bad o-ring on the 2nd gear spool that is by-passing pressure or if it is the clutch packs or something else.Would there only be 2 clutch packs? 1 for fwd and 1 for rev? Anything common that causes this to happen? Anyone have any ideals I would be glad to hear them,Thanks

I took the big plug out of the side of the tranny and ran a magnet down in it and found what look to be sheared off gear teeth in it.Looks like it has spun the teeth off of 2nd gear.I'm gonna split it apart and see what has broken up.I thought I might have gotten lucky with something simple but it looks like this is gonna be a costly little adventure after all.

I don,t know anything specific about that trany but the usual arrangement would be 5 clutch packs one for each gear and a forward and reverse. I would think you second gear clutch pack is shot.
