I have a Case 450 (thats all it says on the side of the machine) crawler loader. I would like to order some spare filters and things like that. In order to set up my account and make things easier to order, the shop asked me for the serial number of the machine. I can't find it! lol! Buncha smart fellers in here I am sure can help out this greenhorn. Thanks! (I also learned that it is much easier to replace any rusted worn bolts when you find 'em, NOT when you need to remove them)

There are lots of serial numbers on these machines. First there is the chassis serial number (the number you want). The engine has a serial number, the transmission has one and if you have the original Drott 4n1 bucket it has a serial number too.

The chassis serial number should be located on a tag on the left side of the machine, next to the seat. The tag is stamped and is often painted over, but you usually can carefully remove the paint to expose the number.

Best of luck,
John
