I don"t have side panels (engine covers) for my 350B and recently got some brush jammed up near the fuel injector so guess I"d better build some panels! How thick were the originals? Did they have holes punched in the entire panel? What side holes? Any other suggestions? Anyone have a pattern to build the instrument panel cover that was an option?

Thanks
John

I bought a 350 with the right side pannel only it has the sliding door for dip stick access its made from 3/16" plate I duplicated the pattern for the left side and made it. Forget about the holes and just leave 3" between the cowling and the top of the your new covers there are 2 tangs on the inside of the nose cowl just make sure your cover ingages the top one. You might have to make the foward end full height then slope it down at 45 deg. to get your 3" air gap

The side covers changed over the years. Some were perforated, and some were not. They did not come all the way up, and one side had a sliding door thay opened sideways, so you could check and/or add engine oil.

practically impossible to duplicate. Originals were 3/8ths plate with a hundred slots cut in them. I would take some old heavy screen or other side panels & cut them to fit, or buy from salvage yard.
