I just purchased a 500C and noticed it was not moving well. I found the torque converter trans to be low on oil. I added oil and it move good now but it has a bad leak from under the torque conveter area and transmission. Anyone have an idea?
I do have manuals on the way but don't know have them yet.

Thanks

I've been repairing a 500E for about two years on and off. The owner had a leak in the same area and wanted me to fix it. It was a 13$ seal but I had to pull the engine, the torque converter needed replacement, the ring gear, starter drive, bell housing was cracked, the project just mushroomed into a great big project. I just gave him the manuals back last night. If you need some advice you can mail me. I'm no expert but this one is the second 500E I redone. I got picts of it taken apart if you want to see it.

I'm hoping that is not my problem but I'm thinking that maybe it. I was hoping for a leaking cooling line I'll have to drop the belly pan and check it out.

Thanks for the reply!

I Had the same problem. We had to pull the engine and replace the torque converter and seals. The torque converter had groves in it. Not an expensive process but pulling the engine takes a little time.
