Bob, I have done several, have one in the shop now, another one coming in a couple of weeks. The rebuild parts with all new pistons, rings, pins, retainers, pin bushings, cam, rod, and crank bearings, new valves, guides, springs and keepers, and gasket set runs about $600 give or take. Have not got the labor bill for the one in the shop yet, but I am guessing about $400 for cooking, boring, honing and decking the block, turning the crank, putting in new valve guides, hard seats, decking the head, and installing the cam bushings. The rest of the assembling I do myself, but if you had the machine shop do it, I would guess you could add another $100-$150. All in all I figure about $1000-$1200 for a complete rebuild. If you had it done at a dealer, I have had customers tell me that they were charged up to double that. Lavoy
