I have a Cat Dozer D5 with a 3204 engine. I had
the injector pump rebuilt, now that I have it
back and on the machine the rpms are 200 hundred
less and is lacking power. I have contacted the
people that rebuilt it. They told me to replace
the throttle remote cable, which I did and didn't
help. Can anyone tell me how I could turn up the
pump to get the right rpm's. Thanks, Jeff

What was the reason for the rebuild? Were any problems with the injector pump found when disassembled for rebuild? The high idle should have been set at rebuild. Disconnect the throttle cable and see if high idle changes. I have seen several Cat injector pumps rebuilt over the years that didn't need rebuilding. Found torque converter failure in several cases that was the actually cause of low power. I would look at the magnetic filter for the transmission. If there is a failure in the converter you will find metal in the magnetic filter. This is something you need to check. Good luck!!!!
