I have found an International Harvester crawler that I believe is a model 100C. I am trying to find out what year it is. Serial # 4490004U000845. My best guess is that it is late 60's/early 70's. Everything looks in good shape, the tracks are pretty worn and the sprockets are severly warn. I'm also wanting to know how readily available sprockets are for this machine. It has a 4 cyl deisel motor. Any input on this machine is welcomed.

Try Grace Track Service for undercarriage parts. There number is 1-800426-4136. I've had good luck with them. I'd say the engine is probably a D-239, but don't hold me to it.

Good Morning Scott, --- 26 / May / 2005 ---

Your International 100C has the KIND and CODE Serial Number and was made from 1970 to 1974. The "U" in the middle means that it was made at IH Plant in the US.

The last group of numbers "000845" is the actual S# and your "100C" was made in 1971.

I don't have my book with me right now to tell what motor that is in your crawler.

Thanks for giving us the complete Serial Number,
this saves everyone a lot of time by doing this.
