I'm trying to fix up a Bobcat skidsteer. I'm not sure what model it is. I can't find a tag for the serial number or model anywhere. There is a generic lable for the filters to use on it and it gives 3 different models. 741,742,743 so I am assuming it is one of these. The right rear axle is about to fall out. The axle bearings appear to be totally wiped out. How would I remove the axle? The axle seems to be welded to the wheel drum. Also, with the bearings wiped out so badly could this have damaged the drive motor for that wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tony

To get the axle out you must remove a big bolt inside the chaincase that holds the sprocket on the axle. Boom arms need to be raised and secured in that way. Tilt the cab back, then remove the steering control handles and the sheet metal they go thru, then take the parking brake linkage loose, remove all the bolts holding the cover on then you can remove the cover on top of the chaincase, then you can see all the chains, but your fun is not over your arm must go in up to the shoulder with an 1-1/8" wrench to get the afore mentioned bolt. It should not have affected the drive motor.
