Once drive lever is engaged, wheels turn although sticks are apparently in neutral. Even after warm up, it's very difficult to find a stop position, thus machine jerks back and forth while I make quick adjustments to find a stop position. I lifted the unit and tested - left drive is very sensitive, just a slight movement will make wheels turn front and reverse, with very small nuetral position in the center. Also, wheels turn pretty fast oncve engaged in either direction, almost no slow speed. Any help???

We used to have an 1816B that did the same thing. On ours, when the pump was centered the control handle was not. We had to adjust the linkage. It is covered in the service manual.

Thanks - adjusted control arm linkage and fixed the problem. Once that was done, came up with another issue. When full forward on sticks, engine wants to stall, so I have to pull back. It doesn't occur in reverse. Seems as if not enough power when full forward. Anyone have simmilar problem and now a possible fix?
