Has anyone here had any experience using "Pacal Blades" brand of cutting edges for gravel road maintenance? I would also appreciate any comments on which cutting edges are used for gravel road maintenance and how they perform. I'm trying to find something that lasts longer.

Thanks in advance!

Im not sure about the brands we have used but we go through them all rather quickly. Im sure there are differences. The 5/8'' blades can burn up in a couple days of hard blading. Most of our roads have some serious rock. We've since gone to 3/4'' blades which last much longer. I think the only way to get more life is to increase the blade thickness.
If your going through ice blades fast, try the carbide tipped inserts. They are tough but expensive too.

we use stingers we grade 35 miles of road two to three times a year plus spot grading here and there yes the stinger set up is a bit pricy up front but unless you hit something hard and break a bit they last us about 5 years
we push a 12 foot board with a 772 ch john deere
