Early 90's late model Case 580 super K was the best backhoe ever built. 580 super E was the second best.

I'm no TLB expert by any means, but I've heard that Case 580's are fantastic, that would probably be my pick for "the best". Ford 555 and 655's are supposed to be good too, as well as Deere machines (not familiar with their models). I've also heard good things about JCB's, but they are foreign (relative to an American that is), so I believe the parts are more expensive and somewhat harder to get. Plus I heard JCB's are prone to electrical problems, not sure if that's true or not, but that's what some have said.
