Well, I bought it off my father in law, as he is a Deere farm salesman. I took it home, and looked it over real close. Built new pins in the lathe, to take up slack. I built a new grill out of mill screen, had it pressed flat by the local steel supplier, and welded up a nice factory looking grill. Had to pop a new input shaft yoke on the tranny/gearbox/final drive box. Bad leak. Took all the cylinders apart, and replaced all seals. Went over the whole body and repaired damage, then painted the whole thing up. Wifey re-upolstered the seats and arm pads. I weled all new grousers on, as the pads were real good. Just needed more traction. Man, that was a TON of welding. They are 15" pads, and thats ALOT of welding. Should have just bought new pads I guess... LOL The undercarriage is probably 80% as it was just rebuilt before I got it. The engine was just done too. Everythng on it works great, just want to get a couple new gauges, so that its prefect. I also redid the bands in the winch, so that works perfect now too. Also replaced every filter and every drop of oil in it. New muffler... new belts. A few new hoses. Its got a 6 way blade on it, and its I think about 70 or 73 horse. I did have a front idler bearing go, so I had to replace that. Drop the track, pulled the main front idler, rebearinged, and all back together. Ignorant job... to say the least. Its a great little dozer, and I am building a piling attachment for the blade that just bolts and pins on, so I can pile brush good with it. Hmm... guess thats about it. I now want to find an old Deere Tractor, hopefully a steel wheeler, to restore.
