Hi I have what I consider AN INT. 500dozer I needed a valve keeper that i lost , it turn's out that my dad bought the wrong gasket set for this eng. , back befor he had his stoke , now I don't know what size engine I have , ( the gasket set that he got was wrong ) ,.I have been told it was a BD-188 but cross referencing the valve #'s in the head, I found that the vales were for a BD-154, could this be the right eng? I really need help to get this thing out of the garage,!!!! thanks Mark

Looking in my parts catalog, the keeper part number is 3055 057 R91. Hopefully this can help.

Mark;
It sounds like you have a 500 crawler(leave off the D , that confuses the issue) Any Case-IH dealer can obtain engine parts by looking them up for a 364 tractor or looking in the BD154 engine book.
The 500C used a 3 cyl. D155 German built diesel.
IH didn't make a 500D. The 500C was replaced by a 500E which was the last of that series.

Hi Mark, I have an International 500C loader which uses the BD-154. I recently purchased a parts book on ebay. I'll try to find the part number for the valve keeper.
