Ok I am looking at a hd7g and talked to the guy about it....he has been using it and not had any trouble..... decided to change oil in everything on it...engine, transmission, etc.....well now he says it has "air" in the hydralics??? anyway it will not steer unless it is idling..... too much "air" I guess..... .he is given up on figuring it out and is mad at machine ..... .don"t know serial number do know is a 4cyl. what is it worth and point me in right direction as far as what is wrong with it.

THANKS A BUNCH the farmer in Missouri!

the crawler DOES NOT Move since the oil change..... says he broke a line loose at a brake..... .had air bubbles in the oil.....said to seem like it is just "sucking" air..... ...

So any ideas?

Hey,FarmerScotty, Did you ever see the machine moving,or the results of the machine moving?Something may have quit pumping before the oil changes, therefore prompting the change. I've got a 7G for pieces, and a 6G I use,Don't know a lot about either one.I'd be wary of one that won't pull, unless you trust the source.Good luck!

No I haven"t even seen machine yet we are going to see it this week. I know it worked because the guy built a shop, moved trees etc. for his house with it. He just decided or so he says to change the oil and everything went downhill from that. Told me he wished he had never changed it. I am going to take new transmission filters with me and change them before we mess with it and also make sure the hydralic pump has oil in it before we even start it.....it maybe a disaster looking for a home.....I don"t know what a pump would cost but I bet a bunch.
