I need help! I was dozing tonight with the d2 1st gear not really working it 1/4 throttle maybe and it just stopped moving...when I disengaged the main clutch it made a shuddering sound, now if you pull the main clutch partially and very carefully you can get the tractor to move but it is vibrating something to make it move. also if you pull it to snap in it goes right by and does nothing. I was going to take the clutch cover off and look but I counted 9 deerflies on one arm. any ideas?

It's an over center clutch and needs adjustment. The spider needs to be unlocked and tightned untill the lever snaps over center to engage the clutch then locked up again. The spider is on a thread and needs moving closer to the plates.

Not too familliar with D2 but the D4 clutch will come out the top. Maybe yours will too. Should uncouple at the back. I think it will handle better if it's engaged.
