MF 200B Dozer Issues

Hi all,

Just got an Italian-made MF 200B - I understand that parts are few and far between. I currently has a stuck Perkins 3 cyl. I loaded up the cylinders with diesel and am letting soak. I'm confidant I can get the engine unstuck. HOWEVER my tracks are bad. Couple broken grousers, 1 broken pin, and the pins overall are badly worn. This dozer will be used for small yard work, so I don"t want to spend a ton of money getting the tracks rebuilt (I'm told it's expensive). What are my options? Are there other tracks which may interchange? Is it possible to do a home fix of the broken pin, not having a press, let alone a track press?

Also, is there an interchange for a starter? Mine is good, but I"d like to make a bar starter and I need a junk starter to weld up and install...

Thanks to anyone who can help!

I just went through this with my 2244, try Olympictracks.com for under carriage parts they are an aftermarket dealer for berco tracks.

I have a original M.F. tech. service manual in a nice 3-ring binder. About 3" thick, all pages like new. seems to cover everything. Lots of schematics. (trans, final drives, electrical etc....) $50.00 buys it. thanks, Jim
