The undercarriage on my machine is about ready for replacement I think. The chain edge is wore down almost to the bushings. The tensioner assembly is almost maxed out (maybe another inch left). I am curious as to the cost of a new undercarriage but more specifically I would like to replace the chain and the tensioner assembly. The guides appear o.k. and the rollers and sprockets appear to be in good condition. Should I change everything or just what appears to be worn? Also, a money saving track source would be nice! Thanks for your help.

one of my track tightiner also needed honing but was still rough so i took a big fat o-ring and put behind the seal had to cut the spacer down some for it to fit took about three tries to get it to fit with out cutting the o-ring when instaling it in the tube. but it is holding grease, was better then the couple hundard for a tube.

Hi Case450,
I priced a new undercarriage for my 450B loader several times in the past year. Best PRICE I found was at Industrial Tractor Supply in Atlanta. Don't have their number handy but I think you can do a search for them on yahoo. The price per track group ranged from $1400-$1900 depending on the price of steel at the time. That was chains and pads. Sprockets were $253 each and bottom rollers were in the range of $130 per. Do not know the mfg so they may not have been the best quality.
As info. I cleaned up and lightly honed my adjuster bores and put in new seals I got from Case dealer and they work well. I did replace both rods; one of which I bought from someone on ebay. It was nice and chromed. I turned the other myself on lathe and sprayed a coat of paint on it. Won't last forever, but for me it worked and was cheap.

Good luck whatever you do.
