question: I now have swamp tracks on a JD350C and need to replace at least the pads. UC is about 70-80% overall. If I just cut the pads down to size would that work for me until the whole track needs replaced? Are those swamp tracks thinner then a standard 12-14" pad? Thanks for your help. Tom

probably work. I had a JD 450 track loader & someone had put 16" dozer pads on it. Problem was tracks hit the loader frame anytime you weren"t going straight ahead. So I cut 2" off the inside of the pad. This left it uneven, 6" to pad center from inside, 8" from outside. It hurt nothing; used it for years & sold it that way. Seems like a big waste in your case tho.

do you think it would be better to just swap them out and sell the swamp tracks?

sure. You're going to do all that work & expense to make something that's already made everywhere; & swamp tracks are excedingly rare

Thanks for the reply 2x4, I am looking for pads, maybe the whole chain too- haven"t decided. JD says their pads are 18$ a piece so am exploring used and aftermarket.

Whereabouts are you. I've got the old tracks (chains & pads) from my straight 350 crawler that I intend to scrap out. Pads are aren't bad, just didn't want to take the time to remove them from the old chains. I'd trade (could use a r.o.ps) or sell them.
